Native Plant Conservation Campaign (NPCC)

The Native Plant Conservation Campaign (NPCC) is a national network of affiliate native plant societies, botanical gardens, and other plant conservation organizations. We collaborate to exchange information, and create a strong national voice to advocate for native plant species and community conservation through:

• Equal funding and protection for plants and other species in conservation law and practice
• Improved staffing and funding for plant conservation and research,
• Stronger Federal laws for conservation of native plants and ecosystems
• Prevention and control of infestation by invasive exotic plants
• Use of local native plants in restoration and gardening

NPCC also performs independent research, and publishes reports, literature reviews, brochures, and digests discussing scientific and legal issues in plant conservation.

Plant Conservation Alliance - Alien Plant Working Group:: is a web-based project of the PCA that provides information for the general public, land managers, researchers, and others on the serious threat and impacts of invasive alien (exotic, non-native) plants to the native flora, fauna, and natural ecosystems of the United States.

Connecticut Policy on Non-Native Invasive Plant Species:: Information provided by the state Department of Environmental Protection control measures, identification and education.

California Native Plant Society: East Bay Chapter:: Serving the Alameda and Contra Costa counties and offering walks, events, native plant restoration projects, a newsletter, and more.

Milo Baker Chapter, California Native Plant Society:: Serving Sonoma County.

Center for Plant Conservation:: A national consortium of 28 botanical gardens and arboreta dedicated to saving America's endangered plants.
