1923 marked the formal incorporation of the Green Coffee Association of New York City. The Green Coffee Association is a trade association that provides resources and other benefits for individuals and companies dealing with the export, transport, storage, insuring, financing, importing, trading and/or roasting of green coffee. Today the GCA carries out its mission and retains its unique identity as the foremost trade association dealing with green coffee in the United States, working in conjunction with the Coffee, Sugar & Cocoa Exchange, the world's leading marketplace for trading these commodities.
Mission Statement : “To maintain just and equitable principles and establish uniformity of commercial usage among its members; to provide and regulate a suitable room or rooms for the uses of the Association; to acquire, preserve and distribute valuable business information; and to adjust controversies and misunderstandings between its members; to correct abuses and generally promote, increase and benefit the coffee business.”
