The International Association for the Plant Protection Sciences (IAPPS):: This global forum of scientists aims to provide information and policy advice on sustainable plant health management practices. It publishes a journal and newsletter and holds periodic congresses.

Third Session of the Governing Body of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture:: The meeting was held in Tunis, Tunisia, from 1 to 5 June 2009. It considered, inter alia, its procedures and funding and also the relationships between the Governing Body and the Global Crop Diversity Trust and with the CGRFA; Implementation of the Multilateral System of Access and Benefit-sharing; Implementation of Article 6, Sustainable Use of Plant Genetic Resources; Implementation of Article 9, Farmers’ Rights.
