Bibliography of Genetic Variation in Natural Populations

Bibliography of Genetic Variation in Natural Populations Related

Genetic variation in the Australian Dingo:: The dingo is in danger of extinction in the wild. Hybridisation with domestic dogs being common, with hybrids being difficult to distinguish from pure dingoes. Breeding programs to preserve the dingo have begun, but the purity of their breeding stock is unknown. The DNA tests developed in this project will be used to identify pure dingoes.

Bibliography on MTBE and Water Quality:: Searchable database of technical reference citations, by US Geological Survey.

Eco-labels: Incomplete Bibliography:: Lists organizations with eco-labeling programs or information.

Avian Collision and Electrocution: An Annotated Bibliography:: California Energy Commission compilation of information about losses of birds due to collisions with power lines, towers, wind turbines, and other structures, and from electrocution by power lines.

History of Marine Animal Populations:: Global research initiative studying past ocean life and human interaction with the sea and marine organisms.

AmphibiaWeb: Declining Amphibian Populations:: Summarizes some of the evidence of climate change around the world. Describes direct effects such as phenology, decline and extinction, and indirect effects such as decreased immune function due to increased exposure of amphibian embryos to ultraviolet radiation.

Declining Amphibian Populations Task Force:: Based at the Open University Ecology and Conservation Research Group and operate under the umbrella of the IUCN Species Survival Commission. The mission of the DAPTF is to determine the nature, extent and causes of declines of amphibians throughout the world, and to promote means by which declines can be halted or reversed.

Potential Impacts of Sea-Level Rise on Populations and Agriculture:: From the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
